https://homepage.ntlworld.com/william.w ... 0story.htm
Vielleicht weiß Gareth (GT) was dazu .
Gruß,
Jörg

Jap,
that`s what most people in british forums write.
But the head couldn`t be so bad. It is an cross-flow aluminium head with an over head cam, as you know...
If the distances between the holes, the head studs and the size of the holes are the same and/or adaptable, than it could be worth to think about, >>> or isn`t it?
If not, it is a wast of time
And the Rover V8 is a total differnt story ...........
Cheers,
Jörg

It's a sort of similar thing to the Dolomite design, which at least had the merit of 4v per cylinder.Fuzzy hat geschrieben:Jap,

There is nothing whatsoever to recommend about the Rover 2300/2600, and they frequently suffered head gasket failure making only 150bhp.
It's an example of Spen King's rare failures.
Sorry to say, but the only decent 6 cylinder engines made in the UK were by A-M, Jaguar & Triumph.
All the stuff from Rover, Austin, Rolls Royce etc were all horrible trash.

Lawrence Tuning
