I just did 5 Spitfire cylinder heads in my workshop here.
(you know that funny place where it's snowing outside and it's -2C, up nr Helsinki)

All but one is BRAND NEW OLD STOCK.
In the next 3 weeks I have to deliver a complete engine to a guy just across the water from here.
You know what?
That fully modified engine with a brand new engine block and head, delivered to his door & which WORKS properly, costs less than one of your GERMAN exchange engine from your mate Basteln & Cock-up NOT DELIVERED.
You know what else, the stuff he had before was from Prirace, - exactly the crap you see in this wonderful "spitfire race car" which started this discussion.
That FINLAND engine had a "suicide" flywheel, a camshaft & engine bearings which lasted just 800kms.
I won't even tell you how many 6 cyl heads there are here ATM.
I'm struggling to cope with the different ones for Spain, UK, Australia, Sweden, Norway, France, and maybe, just MAYBE one for Germany!
They are ALL modified, and one of them is for a race engine, which may be running in 3-4 years.
How many people have this sort of top quality work in their workshops and are there at 23h on a sunday evening working on it getting covered in crap and dirty iron dust?
What have you added to this apart from some stupid comment?
You are almost as bad as the Spitfire forum people.
What have you ever done to develop an engine component in your entire life?
Did you ever design and test an exhaust?

A camshaft?

A valve?

Flow bench test even a 2V cylinder head, never mind a 4V one?
Make rolling road test then develop a fuel and advance curve especially for that application?
Manufacture a piston forging with your own tooling then have it machined to your own design and specification?

Redesign a suspension component, make it, and test it, making any changes neccessary so it works and fits perfectly.
No of course not, because you have always bought your shit from BASTUCK as well as marketing a book from Kastner who is openly recommending people to buy from people like T-L DEAN, and making claims which are demonstrably false.
