Hi,
The car belongs to Monica Hubanks of the Triumph TR7 Forum. We had a discussion a few months ago about the video. Her statement follows:
"OMG!!!
Since I have NEVER seen another wedge on the road, I don't often check this section of the forum. Glad I did today....I hafta tell you, that is my car!! This is probably the closest I will ever be to "being spotted" as I'll get! HOBby, you are correct, it is a Spider (Just shared this story with Spidey pal, Frank)
About a year ago, I convinced my DH to drive to the LA area to check out a TR7 from Craigslist. Of course I was head over heels for the car. We (read: I) agreed to purchase it for $3K. The now previous owner informed us that he had made an arrangement for the car to be in a music video assuming the car would not have been sold. Long story short, for $700 a day, we decided to stay in LA for 3 extra days so that my new Spider could be in this video. Since then, my car has been prettied-up with a complete reupholstery, minor body work, paint job/correct decals and tires. My friends joke that I should call the director of the video and tell him the 7 is up for its next role! Now that my Spider has been redone, I am not sure I would want those Great Danes AND Lady Gaga shedding in the car!!! So, that is my car's claim to fame. Oh, please....no, umm...no pictures or autographs, puh-leeeze! Thank you, thank you! Ha-haaa!!--Monica
