Ralf
(no change in jetting or chokes)
END OF ARGUMENTS.
1/ Only be stupid once.
2/DO NOT deny physics & proper design any more, you will only look stupid!
Some description of the car and materials used for testing.
Eng sprache folgende:-
DIRECT back to back comparison of Injection and Weber equipped engines on same rolling road.
The weber equipped car gave a substantially BETTER torque output between 1000-3500rpm, after it had been jetted correctly and the advance curve modified from the CP values to weber optimised values.
This translated into a MUCH better car to drive at all speeds except flat out.
The Weber equipped car retained the original cast iron exhaust manifold for this test.
Notice the weber equipped car produces EXACTLY the same power output as the injection car 4000-5000rpm despite using only 28mm chokes.
It only loses out AFTER 5000rpm.
Nota:-
The weber equipped car is the lighter coloured power curve on this 2nd graph. The Pi car has the stronger colour and slightly higher power after 5000rpm.
I remain convinced that had the choke size been changed to 30mm (as it later was), the weber equipped car would have produced identical power to the injection car, while the torque 1000-4000rpm would have remained unchanged, as this extra torque is a result of the increased inlet manifold length.
This has to be regarded as the definitive & most valid test ever done on this type of car, as both of them were in perfect working order.
It could never have been done before in the USA, and it's unlikely to have been possible ever before in the UK.
I financed this entire series of tests myself without any help from any outside business.
The rolling road used was Tipton garage Devon.
The operator was highly experienced and worked for Janspeed for 10 years.
